Peru and Croatia are going to face each other in an international friendly match which is going to take place on neutral venue. Both sides are looking for a good opportunity to have a stern test in the preparation for the World Cup.
Peru are celebrating their excellent result in the CONMEBOL qualifiers since they managed to snatch a playoff place in the furious fashion. They haven’t tasted a defeat in the last six matches in the group, and although they haven’t been considered as strong contenders, they managed to skip past Chile, Paraguay and Ecuador. They’ve been playing well at home pitch and allowed only two defeats in nine matches. Ricardo Gareca’s side have been fairly productive and their defence did enough to secure good results when mattered the most. However, Peru needed to eliminate New Zealand in the playoffs and after a goalless draw on away ground, they managed to celebrate a 2-0 home win.
Croatia also found their way to Russia after the playoff matches. Firstly, they managed to finish as the second in the group after celebrating a 2-0 victory away to the direct rivals, Ukraine. Andrej Kramaric scored two goals in the second half worth of the playoffs spot. Their defensive work was excellent and they’ve conceded only four times. Then, Croatia were drawn against Greece and it was pretty much clear after the first leg match and a 4-1 win that they’ll get their place at World Cup. They’ve just confirmed their advantage with a goalless draw in the second leg.

It is going to be a very interesting clash and although Croatia are favourites in this one, Peru might get away undefeated.
Since Peru have been involved in low scoring matches lately and Croatia is very good in the back, we shouldn’t see more than two goals in this one.
